With a superb panoramic view over the dunes of l´Erg Chebbi in Merzouga, the ´Atlas du Sable` (Atlas Sands) hostel is a privileged stopping place for those who want to discover the authentic Morocco, and the real desert.

The hostel is a beautiful building made from Adobe (mud, water and straw), that respects the traditional Berber architecture. The hostel is run by Ali, "the man with one leg", a dynamic handicapped man, and all his family. You will receive an authentic warm Berber welcome, and you will feel perfectly at home.

The hostel has 17 traditional Berber bedrooms with en suite bathrooms in addition to 7 small suites, with en suite bathrooms in fossilized marble.

Each bedroom has two big beds, a Moroccan living room and air conditioning.

The restaurant is decorated with regional antiques, and can accommodate up to 80 people. You will enjoy an excellent Berber and Moroccan cuisine.

There is also a tearoom if you want to relax.
